We run a needs based organization

Special times of the year have special needs and opportunities. Communal Seders for the lonely on Passover... Toys for hospitalized children on Chanukah... Heat for the impoverished elderly in winter... Camps scholarships for orphaned kids in summer...

The Foodbank, in addition to it’s year-round activities, is always there to meet the unique challenges of the different seasons.

Wedding appeal

Help sponsor a wedding for the poor

Giving joy to brides and grooms is one of the greatest mitzvahs. Which is why The Foodbank sees to it that poor young couples can have lovely if modest celebrations that will not saddle them with a lifetime of insurmountable debt.

Any time is a good time to support this wonderful program.

But if you or someone you love is getting married, there is no better feeling, and no better way to start married life, than by twinning your celebration.

1. Provide winter clothing for 10 families: £2,500

2. Provide housing for one family for one month: £750

3. Provide one month’s heat for a family: £100

4. Feed one family for a day: £25

5. Make a contribution to the Foodbank

Passover Season appeal

1. £2600 will sponsor a pallet of food

2. £1200. will sponsor a redundant breadwinner's family complete food and household needs for the Passover season

3. £500. will sponsor a single-parent household's Passover food needs

4. £360. will sponsor a single family's Festival meals

5. £180. will help pay a needy family’s utility bills allowing them to celebrate Passover with a carefree heart

6. £100. will sponsor one full family festival meal

7. £54. will buy a new outfit and shoes for a young child

8. £36. will buy a Kosher meat or chicken for a family
